Electroclash duo and performance group Fischerspooner was formed in 1998 in New York City by Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner. Along with vocoders and electronics, Fischerspooner incorporate multimedia, handmade costumes, dancing, and performance art into their music. By the time of their 2000 eponymous debut, the group was a certifiable sensation in downtown New York City art galleries and clubs.
