Grey Daze was formed in 1993 and they are known for being one of the first bands of Chester Bennington. Grey Daze's distinct grunge flavor was a far cry from the hip-hop and electronic-influenced sounds of Bennington's later work with hybrid rock band Linkin Park, instead taking cues from the scene's minor chords, sludgy execution, and dour lyrics. Their style has been described as grunge, post-grunge, alternative rock, and alternative metal.
