Japanese singer and songwriter Kumi Okamoto, better known as Kumisolo, formed her first pop band, 'No Future' under the influence of French chanson and Shibuya Kei. Now a resident in Paris, she started collaborating with many French musicians. Her style has been described as electronic, pop, and synth-pop. La Femme Japonaise is her first EP, released in 2013.
