Alternative rock band Madrugada was formed in Stokmarknes, Norway in 1993, with a core lineup of Sivert Høyem, Robert Burås, and Frode Jacobsen. Madrugada's musical style is noted for its bareboned blues-inspired alt-rock. Their debut album, Industrial Silence, was released in 1999. It became a success, selling more and more records as their fan base continued to grow as a result of their relentless touring.
