Dutch symphonic goth metal band Nemesea was founded in 2002 by vocalist and composer Manda Ophuis and guitarist Hendrik Jan de Jong. Since 2007's In Control, the band's music has become more rock oriented, also incorporating strong electronic influences. In 2016, Manda Ophuis parted ways with the group and was replaced by Sanne Mieloo, who appeared on their releases Uprise and White Flag.
