Progressive rock band Oceansize was formed in Manchester, England in 1998. The band displayed a wide array of influences from several genres including new prog, post-rock, math rock, psychedelic rock, and space rock. Oceansize released four albums: Effloresce (2003), Everyone into Position (2005), Frames (2007), and Self Preserved While the Bodies Float Up (2010).
