Mongolian folk metal band The HU was formed in Ulaanbaatar in 2016. Their music style is pop-rock with elements of new wave, post-punk, Brit-pop and indie rock. With traditional Mongolian instrumentation, including the Morin khuur, the Tovshuur, and Mongolian throat singing, the band calls their style of music "hunnu rock".
