Canada's premier Celtic punk rock party band The Mahones, was fittingly born on St. Patrick's Day in 1990 in Kingston, Ontario. With a working class ethic and a love of classic punk, Finny McConnell formed the band to combine his love of punk rock and his Irish culture. Whenever references are made to Celtic punk, The Mahones are considered seminal pioneers of the Irish punk genre in North America.
